“Pefka” in the village of Vassilikos on the southwestern side of Zakynthos will impress all those who wish to find themselves close to nature, together with idyllic scenery and the hospitality of a small Greek village. Despite the fast growing development its tourism over the past 20 years, Zakynthos has managed to hold on to a substantial part of its traditions.
We, as a family keep a small farm with animals, which we rear with organic methods. We produce the well know Zakynthian “Ladotiri”, that is made in a unique way using ewe’s milk. Our 17,000 square meters of olive groves provide a unique quality of olive oil that you can taste in our taverna or purchase to take home.
Vassilikos maintains its traditional character; the area has remained un-spoilt by the recent leap in the islands’ commercial tourism, an ideal location for true peace and relaxation. Villas will impress from the first instance. With a backdrop of the sea and the mountain, and surrounded by lush green gardens, with the pine trees providing the last brush strokes on the canvas. The traditional Zakynthian hospitality and personal care of the owners create a permanent feel of well being.
The "Pefka" group consists of two buildings, the first is a two story building providing two villas, one on each floor, while the second single story building contains two studios.
Villas are all 80sqm and they can accommodate up to six persons. They all have kitchen with living area and two bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge, toaster, kettle, all necessary cooking utensils and a mini bar. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has two singles.
Each bedroom has its own WC with bath and built-in wardrobe and air conditioning. Villas have balconies that face east with beautiful views of the sea and mountains.
They also provide air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD, hairdryer, iron, towels, and constant hot water. General cleaning every two days.
The studios are 25sqm and provide upright kitchen with serving area, two single beds and a WC with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, toaster, kettle all the necessary cooking utensils and a mini bar.
The studios have a verandah, one with views of the sea and mountains and the other with views of the pool and gardens. They also have air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD, hairdryer, iron, towels and constant hot water. General cleaning every two days.
The sweet colors of ochre, sea blue, white and natural wood create a fresh romantic atmosphere. The pale colors create a contrast with the green shades of nature and the deep blue of the sea that surround "Pefka". The central point for guests that stay at "Pefka", an essential part of summer holiday enjoyment is the pool, providing moments of utmost tranquility under the pine trees, with magical views of the sea.
There are also other facilities that make our life comfortable, easy and pleasurable! The pool has a special area for children and free umbrellas and sunbeds. The restaurant is at a distance of just 30 meters and is famed for its traditional Zakynthian flavors. The rooms, pool and restaurant are surrounded by a lush green garden. The view is truly unique.
There is also transport available to and from the airport, parking, bicycles, dishwasher, washing machine, money exchange, and credit cards are acceptable.For all those who wish to explore the island, the owners will happily provide assistance with car and bike hire, boat rentals, even diving, horse-riding and cruises.

"Pefka" is located in the most rural area of Vasillikos in the region of Skolio. It is one of the most popular resorts of the island due to the endless natural beauty, the maintenance of traditional colors and unique tranquility. The location is extremely convenient, as well as being close to the sea, it is on a hill where you can view the surrounding area. From this location, you can start your explorations and discover the islands' most beautiful beaches."Pefka" Villas are at a distance of 12km from the town and harbor of Zakynthos, 15km from the airport, 700m from the closest beach, Banana, (Ionian) and 200m from the nearest supermarket, where you can purchase all your essentials.
If you want a lively night life, you can visit Argassi which is just 6km away and provides a wide range of bars and clubs playing Greek and foreign music.
The closest sandy beach is Banana (Ionian), it is one of the longest beaches on the island, with shallow and clear blue waters. There are many little bars along the length of the beach as well as umbrellas and sunbeds for hire.
Other beaches in Vassilikos Gerakas Beach is a bay of endless sand, possibly the most beautiful beach of Vassilikos and certainly one of the most beautiful on Zakynthos. The Caretta-caretta loggerhead turtles lay their eggs here. Gerakas belongs to the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, so the beach is especially protected. Here there are no watersports or beach bars. However there are many sunbeds and umbrellas for hire.
St Nicholas Beach has taken its name from the picturesque little church of St Nicholas that is on a small hill at the edge of the shore. It is the islands' most cosmopolitan beach. It has beach bars playing loud music, plentiful sunbeds and umbrellas, and the chance to try a range of water sports.
Daphne Beach is a true paradise, with a vast sandy beach and amazing views of the bay of Lagana. Opposite the beach is the islet of Pelouzo, here the Caretta-caretta loggerhead turtles lay their eggs. Daphne beach belongs to the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, and there are no watersports here. The access road to Daphne Beach is off the main Vassilikos road, and is considered a difficult descent. One must cover 3km of dirt track in order to reach the beach. Despite this difficulty, there are many visitors daily as the beauty of Daphne is unique. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire.
Sekania is one of the most important nesting beaches of the Caretta-caretta loggerhead turtles, this is why it is protected by the National Marine Park and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), to which it belongs.
Porto Zorro us a small beach with clear waters and lush green surroundings that almost touch the waters' edge. The two large rocks that are at the edge of the shore give an impressive scene. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, two bars and a beach tavern.
The peaceful beach of Porto Roma has clear waters, sunbeds and umbrellas for hire. It is an ideal spot to relax as it is not overpopulated.
